Description

We are hiring for Full-Time and Part-Time Tow Truck Operators with PRI Roadside Service!  

We need a reliable, independent, flexible, hard worker who pays attention to details, can quickly problem solve a wide range of situations, and win in a fast-paced environment!

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, communicate effectively, and ready to get the job done.

Benefits & Scheduling:

  • Pay will be commission based equivalent to applicants experience
  • Be Available for on-call shifts
  • Rotating schedule based on need (open 7 days/week)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Have the ability to work well with others
  • Rescue customers who need a winch out, tow, tires changed, fuel delivery, or locked keys
  • Work in all weather-related conditions
  • Lift heavy equipment such as chains, floor jacks, and all related equipment
  • Communicate effectively with customers and management
  • Be thorough, pay attention to details, think critically

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Experience in assisting customers
  • Must have good eyesight and hearing
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a 5-Panel Drug Screening
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle report. (Multiple violations can disqualify you from the position).
  • Must have good English speaking, reading, writing / communication skills
  • Must have DOT medical card & For Hire License (may get this once hired)

Tow Truck Driving Requirements:

  • 3 year experience with driving commercial vehicles
  • 3 year experience towing and roadside experience
  • Experience operating a winch system preferred
  • Experience in using tow straps, shackles, and related equipment preferred
  • Experience driving a tow truck preferred
  • Experience in changing flat tires
  • Experience in the use of basic hand tools
  • Experience working on busy roads and highways

 

Navigation Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate narrow city streets
  • Ability to navigate rural roads
  • Ability to drive in inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to use technology/devices to complete a successful service

  • Tow truck
  • Tools (all necessary equipment needed)
  • Phone (all technology needed)
  • Uniform items
  • Other safety and administrative gear necessary for job accomplishment

HIRING PROCESS takes approximately 1 WEEK to COMPLETE. It may take longer if you have an out-of-state driver’s license.
